<부활 – PEACE 쓰기 Resurrection : Writing Peace>

작가의 내면에 잠재한 부활에 대한 고민을 자연 현장에서 자생하고 있는 나무를 통하여 예술이 되도록 시도한다.

그 방법으로 현장에 있는 죽은 나무나 그루터기, 혹은 살아있는 나무의 삭쟁이 들을 찾아 그곳에 한 가지 색을 칠한 후 그 위에 점을 찍고, 그 점이나 주변의 나뭇잎 위에 PEACE라고 쓴다.

이처럼 자연의 순환에 예술가의 의지를 융합함으로 죽은 나무가, 본래의 나무가 아닌, 작품이라는 새로운 상태로 부활할 수 있도록 한다.

The artist tries to make an art of his concern for resurrection latent in his consciousness through a tree growing in nature. Finding a dead tree, a stump or dead twigs on a living tree, he paints colors on one of them, marks dots and writes PEACE on the dots or the leaves around them. By thus incorporating the cycle of nature and the artist’s will, he lets the dead tree revive into something new, not a tree per se.
