THE INTERNATIONAL NATURE ART CURATOR'S CONFERENCE 2013

 

2013 국제자연미술기획자대회는 그동안 금강자연미술비엔날레, 야투국제레지던스프로그램 그리고 야투인터내셔널프로젝트를 통해 유대관계를 맺고 있는 세계의 자연미술기획자들이 만나 세계자연미술현장의 흐름을 확인하고, 자연미술단체들 간의 네트워킹과 협력을 통해 자연미술운동의 새로운 방향을 모색하고 발전시키기 위한 행사이다.

이번 행사에는 전 세계로부터 11개국 19명의 자연미술기획자를 초대하여 컨퍼런스를 개최하며 이 행사를 통하여 각 단체의 활동을 소개하는 자료전시 및 자연미술초대작가전시회를 개최한다. 2013 국제자연미술기획자대회와 아울러 발간되는 ‘세계 자연미술의 현장’에는 총22개국 34개의 단체에 대한 소개와 대표 작가들의 작품들이 함께 소개된다.

행사기간 중에는 두 번의 세미나를 통해 각 나라에서 진행되고 있는 자연미술운동의 역사적 배경과 특성들에 대한 발제와 질의가 이루어지는 한편 각국에서 이루어지고 있는 자연미술과 관련한 교육프로그램이 어떻게 이루어지는 살펴보게 된다. 또한 행사기간 중에는 34개 단체에서 보내온 행사자료들을 전시하는 아카이브전시회와 자연미술초대작가전이 열린다.

앞으로 많은 사람들의 이목을 집중시킬 2015-2018글로벌노마딕프로젝트의 구체적인 실현방안과 실무협의를 위한 회의가 초대 큐레이터들과 관련자들이 참가한 가운데 열릴 예정이다. 야투가 기획하고 있는 2015 글로벌노마딕프로젝트는 한국에서 출발하여 아시아와 유럽 그리고 아프리카, 오스트레일리아, 남미와 북미를 이동하면서 각 나라의 작가들과 만나 자연 속에서 작업하려는 프로젝트로서 자연미술워크숍, 전시, 세미나 및 현장의 특성에 따른 다양한 문화적 교류가 이루어질 것이다.

한국에서 처음으로 열리는 자연미술기획자회의는 황폐화된 자연 환경 속에서 자연과의 새로운 관계설정을 모색하고 있는 인류에게 자연미술을 통한 자연과 인간의 평화로운 공존의 방식을 제시하고 이를 세계적으로 발전시키는 계기를 마련하는 행사가 될 것이다.

The 2013 International Nature Art Curator's Cenference brings together international nature art curators to the Geumgang Nature Art Biennale, YATOO International Residency or YATOO International Project, in order to analyze the on-going international nature art scene, and to discuss and develop new directions for nature art through collaborations and networking among various nature art groups.
For this event, we will hold a conference at which 19 invited nature art curators from 13 countries will make presentations. Each group’s activities will be shown at an archive exhibition alongside an exhibition of nature artists. The publication <World Wide Nature Art Catalogue>, which will be published in accordance with the 2013 International Curator's Conference, will introduce 34 nature art groups from 23 countries along with their representative artists’ works.
Through two seminars during the event, we will have special presentations and Q&A sessions about the historical background of internationally on-going nature art movements and the characteristics of each, while looking at various educational programmes related to nature art in each country.
Particularly, a professional meeting for detailed strategies and administrative cooperation about ‘The 2015-2018 Global Nomadic Project’, which is expected to draw great public attention, will be held in the presence of its founding curators and the people concerned. The Global Nomadic Project is a world tour project that will travel around the world, starting in Korea and moving through Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, and South and North America. Artists from diverse countries will meet and work with each other in nature, hosting nature art workshops, exhibitions, and seminars, while engaging in cultural exchanges with a site-specific response to each locality.
The International Nature Art Curator's Cenference, held first in Korea, will suggest various ways for humanity to peacefully live with nature, and hope to set up a new connection with nature, while recovering our devastated natural environments and developing ways to do so that are internationally relevant.

행사개요
-국제자연미술기획자회의는 그동안 금강자연미술비엔날레와 레지던스 프로그램을 통해 유대관계를 맺고 있는 자연미술기획자들이 만나 세계자연미술현장에서 어떤 목적으로 어떤 내용의 작업이 이루어지고 있는지 구체적으로 확인하고 각 나라의 자연미술프로젝트들을 네트워킹하여 서로간의 긴밀한 협력 관계 속에서 자연미술운동을 지속적이고도 힘있게 발전시키고자 기획하였다.
본 행사는 2014 시행을 목표로 기획하고 있는 글로벌노마딕프로젝트의 구체적인 실현방안을 위한 기획자 미팅을 겸하게 된다. 야투가 기획하고 있는 2014글로벌노마딕프로젝트는 한국에서 출발하여 아시아와 유럽 그리고 아프리카, 오스트레일리아, 남미와 북미를 이동하면서 각 나라의 작가들과 만나 자연 속에서 작업하려는 프로젝트이다. 대략 4개월간 산과 바다 그리고 숲속에서 진행 될 이 프로젝트는 자연미술워크숍, 전시, 세미나 등으로 이루어지며 각 나라에서 10여명의 작가 및 생태학자, 미술이론가등이 참여할 예정이다.
