<사이(Gap)를 채우다 (Fill in the Gap)>

자연과 현대사회의 환경, 그리고 우리 조상들의 정신세계와 현대인들의 삶에는 틈이 있다. 이러한 틈을 줄이기 위하여, 나는 관람객들을 상징적인 순례에 초대한다. 이 순례는 고마이야기를 따라, 전설 속 곰의 상처를 치유하는 과정이다.

돌 하나를 주워 당신의 슬픔을 그 안에 담아 내려놓으며 자유함을 얻으라 (까미노 데 산티아고에서 행하는 순례의식). 그리고 곰의 머리 아래에 있는 돌탑에 돌을 하나 얹어서 고마의 몸을 만드는 작업에 참여해 보라.

곰의 머리는 강변에서 주운 돌들로 만들어졌다. (강은 어미 곰과 아기 곰들이 사라진 바로 그 강이다.) 그리고 돌탑은 땅에서 주운 돌들로 만들어진다. 이 두 부분이 연결될 때, 자연과 인간, 과거와 현재 그리고 전설과 현실의 사이가 좁혀질 것이다.

There is a gap between nature and the environment of modern society but also between the mentality of our ancestors and the lifestyle of contemporary mankind. In order to decrease these distances I invite the visitors to a symbolic pilgrimage, where the story of Goma can be followed and the wounds of the legendary bear can be healed.

Please pick up a stone, put your sorrow into it, and disburden yourself when you put the stone down (pilgrim ritual E.G. in Camino de Santiago). Add the stone to the tower under the bears head, and help to build the body of Goma.

The head of the bear was built with stones collected from the riverside (the place where Goma and her cobs were disappeared), the stone tower is built with stones collected from the ground. When the two parts will be connected the distance between nature and man, past and present, legend and reality will be decreased.
