<고목으로부터 From the Old Tree>

고목을 켜고 자르고 갈아서 만든 입방체 작품이다. 고목 안에 감추어져 있던 빈공간과 양괴의 흐름이 절단면을 통해서 드러나고 있다. 

작가의 단순한 작업을 통해서 오랜 시간 동안 자연이 빚은 조형의 흔적을 보여준다.

This work is a cube made by splitting, cutting, and grinding an old tree.

Through the cross - sections, the hidden voids and the flow of mass within the tree are revealed.

Through the artist’s simple gestures, the piece reveals the traces of form shaped by nature over a long passage of time.
